'Sampler' Selection

Janie Watling Sampler

This is a charming schoolroom sampler chart offered by TSG member Pam Hall of 'Sampler Offerings'. The sampler contains alphabets and numerals as well as some instructive quotations. Stitched entirely in cross stitch by an 8 year old in 1886, the sampler contains a number of errors made by the young needlewoman that have been retained for their sheer charm.

Pam's Purse

Member Pam Hall of 'Sampler Offerings' has designed a small purse as a chart and fabric pack available through The Sampler Guild. This is the first of many items that Pam has in the pipeline, utilising designs that are based on traditional spot motifs and marking/schoolroom samplers that are the modern stitchers heritage.
