We are pleased to announce that TSG will be running a number of classes of varying types, at different locations up and down the country.

A Toy Etui

The Sampler Guild has great pleasure in announcing that Betsy Morgan of Willing Hands is booked to teach her Toy Etui on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th January 2011.

The class will be held in Bracknell, Berkshire and will start at 10.00 am and finish at 4.30 pm each day.

The class includes: Full class tuition.
Kit that includes everything for the chest and all
of the smalls, PLUS very nice scissors and waxer.
A light lunch both days.
Beverages throughout the 2 days.

There will be some pre-stitching!  A pre-stitching kit for one of the smalls which works up easily will be sent out during June 2010 and will be constructed on the first day of class ensuring that all students will learn a lot of the needed techniques in the process.  The rest of the techniques will be ‘doodled’ on the second day of the class and finish up with embellishment techniques.  Betsy’s experience teaching this class has this as the proven method, and one that works well.

The cost of the class as stated above is £210.00 to TSG members and £225.00 to non-members. A deposit of £50.00 is required to secure your place on the class with the balance of the cost due no later than 1st December 2010. Pre-stitching kits will be sent out at the beginning of June 2010.  The remainder of the kits will be given out on the first day of class. Should you require accommodation information, this can be provided but it is your responsibility to book and pay for your own accommodation. Class venue, address and directions will be sent to you on receipt of final payment.

To book your place please contact Linda on 01628 634 274 or email linda@thesamplerguild.co.uk

The balance of the cost must be received by 1 March 2010.  Prices are based on a minimum of 10 participants  (maximum of 16) and the current £/$ exchange rate of £1 = $1.50.  It may be necessary to adjust the final payment by a few pounds should the exchange rate fluctuate wildly as Jackie’s fee is payable in US Dollars. The classes are open to all members of the Sampler Guild, however you must be present in class to receive the finishing materials and additional items - Sorry, no exceptions to this.

In class we will work on assembling the projects. Included in your finishing kits will be detailed instructions with pictures of all assembly steps. Jackie will demonstrate each technique and we will have plenty of time to put the projects together during the class.

Suggestions for local accommodation in nearby Deddington or Banbury will be provided and restaurant meals can be organised (at additional cost) for the Friday and Saturday evenings for those taking more than one class or who wish to stay over the weekend.

We look forward to seeing you!
