Welcome
Welcome to The Sampler Guild. With hundreds of members based here in the UK and throughout the world, the aim of The Sampler Guild (TSG) is to offer a forum furthering the research of sampler history, provide the next step-up from Cross Stitch, promote the preservation of antique samplers, continue the art of sampler making and most importantly, have lots of FUN! |

Hi - my name is Linda Hadden and I have been a sampler enthusiast for over thirty years. I became interested in the idea of starting a UK based Sampler Guild after meeting my good friend Kristy in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London over ten years ago. Kristy was visiting the UK from the USA and during our ensuing conversations, it rapidly became obvious that the UK had nothing like the USA and Canada in terms of a platform, where fellow sampler enthusiasts could have a common forum to share ideas and information. The Sampler Guild developed from that chance meeting and all that has now changed... E-mail: linda@thesamplerguild.co.uk |
So what is The Sampler Guild all about? Forthcoming Events We have frequent and very popular 'Get togethers' and 'Meet-ups' which regularly take place all over the country. 2013 will be a very busy year for TSG members, so please see the quarterly newsletter and visit the Events page for the latest details of what is happening. TSG Emporium The TSG Emporium is our online shop, offering a showcase of the best products from the UK and around the world including charts, books, linens and other essential items such as threadwinders, scissors etc. You do not have to be a TSG member to place an order, but TSG members receive substantial discounts across a wide range of products, please visit the Shop page for details. TSG Members Discount TSG members are eligible for a 10% discount on all items in the TSG Emporium, with the exception of goods that already have a preferential sale price, and books, as they receive a substantial discount anyway. This discount does not apply to non-members or members whose membership has lapsed. When ordering you will need to quote your membership number to receive the discount. TSG Classes We are pleased
to announce that TSG will be running a number of classes of varying
types, at different locations. The Sampler Guild Gallery TSG members have produced some beautiful things (not just samplers!) over the years, and it is our pleasure to display this work on the Gallery page. How to join The Sampler Guild For details of how to become a member of The Sampler Guild, please visit the Membership page There are three methods of contact with members: 1. A quarterly
newsletter that includes articles by both experts and enthusiasts
alike, information on forthcoming exhibitions, and members requests
for information and advice. Newsflash For information on the newest products and events, please visit Newsflash page. Remember if it is happening in the sampler world, it happens here first!
